A stray cat keeps coming in to my garden/house. What can I do?

The first priority should be to try to locate the owner by reporting the cat to local vets, animal centres and the major 'lost pet' organisations. You may also consider placing posters in the window of your local newsagents/post office or even around the neighbourhood.

If the stray cat is causing a nuisance to your own cat, consider fitting a selective-type of cat flap, ie. magnetic, and/or limit outdoor access for your cat to when the stray is not around.
