In May Gizmo the pet rare Peruvian striped owl was lost from Witney after escaping from Wayne Smith's aviary.

On Friday 2 July RSPCA Animal Collection Officer Dennis Lovell took a call from a member of the public to rescue an owl in Crawley.  After rescuing the owl, Dennis was able to locate the bird's owner and then re-unite Gizmo with Mr Smith.  For the full story please see the Oxford Mail website
